The Brockhouse Canada Prize for Interdisciplinary Research in Science and Engineering recognizes outstanding Canadian teams of researchers from different disciplines who came together to engage in research drawing on their combined knowledge and skills, and produced a record of excellent achievements in the natural sciences and engineering in the last six years.

Value: The prize is accompanied by a team research grant of up to $250,000, which may be used to support the direct costs of university-based research and/or the enhancement of research facilities. The grant may be distributed in one lump sum or up to five instalments, depending on the needs of the recipients.

Note: NSERC has shifted the timeline for its suite of prizes to better align with the public announcement of the recipients. The next call for nominations will be launched in August in parallel with any updates to prizes program literature on NSERC’s website. If institutional nomination/external expert review is sought (individuals may also nominate candidates outside of the institutional process), please submit a candidate suggestion form by the internal deadline to recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes.
