In addition to recognizing faculty members for their contributions, the award funds bold and potentially game-changing projects that will challenge the status quo, spark change and take action to address persistent systemic barriers in the research ecosystem and academia.

Recognizes current or recent innovations that have a positive impact on the quality of life in Canada.

Promotes collaboration and partnerships between Bank researchers and leading academics at Canadian post-secondary institutions. The award (for a term of up to five years) consists of a research grant of $50,000 per year, a research expense allowance of $40,000 per year, and $5,000 for university administration of award funds.

Provides financial support to academics who are recognized for their expertise and research in areas important to the Bank's core functions: monetary policy, financial systems, currency, and funds management. The award (for a term of up to two years) consists of a research grant of $30,000 per year.

The CFI Innovation Fund supports transformative infrastructure projects that underpin cutting-edge, globally competitive research. The Vice-President, Research & International invites interested teams from all disciplines and Faculties to submit an internal Expression of Interest (iEOI) as part of our supportive internal selection process to decide which proposals will advance to submission to CFI within SFU's funding envelope.

The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) appoints a number of Distinguished Fellows to the roster of experts who are associated with the Foundation’s work. APF Canada is currently accepting nominations for individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada-Asia relations in one of the following areas: scholarship, public policy, business, diplomacy, arts and culture, and civil society.
