Global Young Academy (GYA) Membership
The Global Young Academy aims to become the voice of young scientists around the world. To realize our vision we develop, connect, and mobilize new talent from six continents. Moreover we empower young researchers to lead International, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational dialogue with the goal to make global decision making evidence-based and inclusive.
Eligibility: Applicants should be in the early years of their independent careers. The majority of the GYA’s members are aged 30-40 and the typical period from completion of a PhD or similar degree is 3-10 years. Membership in a YA is for a limited term, normally 4-5 years, after which members become YA alumni.
Note: If an external expert review of the draft nomination package is sought, please contact awards@sfu.ca at least three months in advance of the external deadline.
